How To Clean Nike Air Max 1 Parra

The legendary Nike Air Max 1 saw a unique and exciting iteration with Piet Parra delivering an exceptional sneaker. The Air Max features Dutch artist Parra’s signature style and colorway that has established itself as a sought-after shoe to have in your rotation. The sneaker features a mesh toe box and faux suede upper and due to its eye-catching design, it is bound to get some wear. We got our hands on some Nike Air Max 1 Parra to show you best how to clean and care for them.

First step is to remove the laces so you can get the entire upper of the shoe clean. Before you begin cleaning your pair, spray the laces with our Sneaker Cleaner, rub them together in your hands and soak them in some water. Let the laces sit and our Sneaker Cleaner will actively work and clean them. Run the laces through a microfiber after the laces have sat in the water for a while to get rid of any moisture. You can then re-lace them when they are dry and the sneakers are clean.

Grab our Premium Brush and give your Nike’s a dry brush. This will remove all excess dirt, making sure there will be no stains and make it easier to clean.

Spray our Sneaker Cleaner onto the sneaker. These Air Max’s feature a mesh toe box and faux suede upper, so show some caution with the suede. Although the Sneaker LAB Sneaker Cleaner is a non-soap based solution, it’s still important to be gentle when working with these materials. Make sure you apply just the right amount and don’t oversaturate these areas of the shoe with sneaker cleaner.

Take our Premium Brush and dip into clean water, tap off any excess moisture and begin scrubbing the shoe. You will only need to use a small amount of water for this, no need to get your brush too wet, especially with the suede. Try not get the suede oversaturated with liquid.

Begin gently scrubbing until a foam is created, making sure to scrub in small circular motions. When the whole sneaker has been scrubbed down, grab a microfiber towel to dab and twist out any leftover moisture and foam.

For best results, grab a Sneaker Wipe and give your shoe a quick wipe to make sure all the dirt has been cleaned off the shoe. These shoe cleaning wipes can be taken with you for those times of emergency while you’re out and about.
