A sneaker as major as the Suede deserves to be celebrated and PUMA is throwing a yearlong party celebrating 50 years of Puma Suede Style. This year the Suede gets the honour it deserves with a series of drops that each represent its cultural relevance, from music, fashion and street culture.
We got our hands on a pair of the Puma Suede Classic and brought them into The Lab to take a closer look at the materials and match them to our sneaker care range.
We've broken down the steps to keeping your Puma Suede looking fresher for longer:
1. If you've flirted with the Puma Suede before, then you know your first priority is get them protected. Spray the Sneaker Protector solution directly onto the upper and midsole of your new kicks. Allow the solution to soak in before adding another layer and leaving to dry overnight.
This will create an invisible layer of protection which prevents liquids, solids, and even sunlight from damaging the Suede material, making repeat cleaning easier.
2. When you do eventually get them dirty, our Sneaker Cleaner is safe to use on the delicate suede upper. Our blend of pro-bacteria works to remove stains and continues to clean your shoes long after use, which means less cleaning, and less damage to your kicks over time. Spray over the dirt or stain, then gently massage affected area. When applying our Sneaker Cleaner with brush, make sure to avoid using water for the best possible result.
